Operations & Maintenance Incharge

About the role

The Operations & Maintenance Incharge will lead the O&M activities for mechanical equipment across water and wastewater treatment facilities. This senior position requires extensive hands‑on experience to ensure reliable plant performance and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HSC pumps, vertical turbine pumps, compressors, blowers, valves and pipeline networks.
• Execute preventive, breakdown and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Implement and monitor a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Audit water and wastewater treatment plants and supervise commissioning of water/sewer lines.
• Prepare and manage monsoon‑related precautionary activities.
• Enforce EHS and quality procedures, and develop site‑specific SOPs.
• Manage sub‑contracts, vendor agreements, purchase orders and contract amendments.
• Track performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15‑20 years experience, OR BE/B.Tech (ME) with 15‑25 years experience.
• Proven track record in O&M of industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong background in water & wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Ability to maintain excellent customer relationships.
