Operations Financial Specialist

About the role

Join ABB's B&R Division as an Operations Financial Specialist, supporting a manufacturing site by analysing financial metrics, identifying trends and recommending actions to improve performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analyses of business performance versus plan and explain variances, working with the business team to drive performance.
• Prepare financial models for product line profitability and costing, and conduct variance analysis across COGS, overheads, scrap and absorption.
• Partner with local controllers and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and management presentations.
• Support end‑to‑end financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business planning, ensuring data accuracy through reconciliations.
• Develop automated solutions using Power BI, SAP reports, Excel with VBA to improve performance and maintain audit trails.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in production controlling and financial planning & analysis.
• Degree in Accounting or a related field and fluency in English.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel functions for financial modelling.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualisation and dashboard creation.
• Proven ability to align financial strategy with operational execution and support audits.
