Operations Controller – Finance

About the role

Metso is seeking an Operations Controller to lead financial controlling activities for the Rubber & Poly‑Met Factory. You will partner with factory management and cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, and performance improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare operational and financial reports aligned with supply‑chain and factory management needs.
• Monitor financial performance against plan, analyse variances and recommend cost‑optimisation actions.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly estimates, monthly rolling forecasts and mid‑month updates.
• Conduct product cost analysis, track cost changes and assess financial impact.
• Maintain standard cost and activity rates for operational and raw‑material expenses.
• Evaluate manufacturing process accuracy, propose improvements and ensure financial compliance.
• Support inventory management by reconciling system records with physical stock and reviewing work‑in‑progress.
• Provide financial insight for capital investment decisions and monitor budget versus actual spending.
• Manage controlling‑related master data according to global standards and collaborate on process harmonisation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders across planning, production, technical service and procurement.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
