Officer / Senior Officer – Peptide Manufacturing

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking an Officer / Senior Officer to lead the manufacturing of peptide active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in its Peptide Business Unit. The role involves overseeing raw material handling, batch charging, and ensuring compliance with batch manufacturing records and standard operating procedures. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and receipt of raw materials for peptide product manufacturing as per requirement.
• Charge batches and carry out all operations according to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and written procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain process equipment, recording usage logs.
• Monitor process and cleaning turnaround times during synthesis and purification.
• Track process parameters, yields, and work to reduce solvent usage and instrument downtime.
• Implement measures to reduce batch failures, holds, and waste generation.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry.
• 5–7 years of experience in peptide API manufacturing units.

Required skills

• Peptide API manufacturing.
• Execution of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
• Process equipment operation, calibration, and cleaning.
