Nurse – US Nursing Home Position

About the role

Kettelsen International Recruiting is seeking a compassionate Nurse to work directly with residents in a US nursing home. The role involves providing hands‑on daily care, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort while supporting the licensed nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and eating.
• Help residents safely transfer in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and chairs using appropriate equipment.
• Support mobility, repositioning, and gait assistance with belts, lifts, or transfer devices.
• Monitor and report any changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident requests, and assist with meals, activities, therapy sessions, and appointments.
• Maintain clean resident rooms, prevent falls, and follow infection‑control protocols.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic charting system (PointClickCare).

Required profile

• Compassionate and patient attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow facility policies, HIPAA regulations, and resident rights.
• Willingness to collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare team members.

Required skills

• Experience using PointClickCare or similar electronic health record systems.
