Nurse Assistant – Patient Care & Support

About the role

The Nurse Assistant will provide direct patient care, support clinical teams and help maintain accurate medical records in a busy healthcare setting. This role is essential for ensuring safe, compassionate care for patients recovering from illness or injury.

Key responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history, symptoms and vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medication and treatments.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Perform point‑of‑care tests and basic nursing assessments.
• Monitor patients' health status and report changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post‑discharge care.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure bedside equipment is functional.
• Operate and care for medical equipment as required.
• Participate in regular in‑service education and training sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate with 1st division in 10th, 12th and a nursing qualification (GNM, BSc or MSc Nursing).
• 3 months to 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and provide moral support to patients.
• Basic computer literacy.
