NPWT Clinical Nurse

About the role

The NPWT Clinical Nurse will work on‑site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, providing expert assessment and treatment for patients with complex, non‑healing wounds. This full‑time position focuses on delivering Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) and advanced dressing protocols while ensuring high‑quality clinical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients with complex wounds and determine appropriate NPWT and dressing plans.
• Set up NPWT devices, apply and change dressings, and monitor wound progress.
• Implement infection‑prevention practices and manage pain related to wound care.
• Document wound assessments, treatment outcomes, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and educate patients and caregivers on wound‑care procedures.
• Provide training and support to facility staff on NPWT best practices.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, and help optimise wound‑care workflows.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with valid licensure; wound‑care certification is a plus.
• Clinical expertise in complex wound assessment, NPWT application, and advanced dressing techniques.
• Strong patient‑care skills, including pain management and infection control.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of electronic health record systems.
• Experience in acute care, surgical, or dedicated wound‑care units preferred.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
