Network Security Operations Expert

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Operations Expert to design, implement and manage security solutions across cloud and on‑premise environments. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of hands‑on experience with web application firewalls, intrusion prevention systems and enterprise firewalls.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Cloud Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on security incidents, audits and high‑priority escalations.
• Configure and maintain Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to detect and block threats.
• Manage and optimise Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls for robust network security.
• Collaborate with the security team to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Monitor security logs, analyse alerts and respond to potential incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments and review vulnerability scans.
• Document security configurations, processes and procedures.
• Offer technical support and guidance to team members on security‑related issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in security, focusing on WAF, IPS and firewalls.
• Proficiency with Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Intermediate Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Ability to work within an Agile framework.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AWS Certified Security) are a plus.
