Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst

About the role

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst joins AppDirect’s 24x7 Managed Network Services team to monitor, troubleshoot and restore WAN/LAN connectivity for enterprise customers. The role requires strong technical expertise and a customer‑focused mindset to ensure service continuity across a variety of circuit types.

Key responsibilities

• Own, triage and resolve customer network trouble tickets from initiation to closure.
• Detect, track and restore network connectivity for data circuits and equipment.
• Remotely troubleshoot and configure WAN devices such as routers, firewalls, switches and load balancers from multiple vendors.
• Engage and coordinate with carriers and third‑party providers for service restoration.
• Participate in incident command bridges, hyper‑care sessions and major incident response.
• Utilize monitoring platforms like Zenoss or Logic Monitor to analyze performance and diagnose issues.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of WAN/LAN implementation, support or troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and ability to troubleshoot remotely.
• Solid understanding of the OSI model, SD‑WAN concepts and transport protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with routing protocols (BGP, IGRP, RIP, OSPF) and NAT, access lists, traffic shaping.
• Experience configuring equipment from at least two vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, SonicWall, Meraki, Fortinet).
• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Inter‑VLAN routing and network monitoring tools.
