Multiplatform Producer, Global Video

About the role

The Associated Press is building a 24/7 global production hub to deliver fast, accurate video content for newsrooms and digital platforms worldwide. As a Multiplatform Producer you will create and edit video stories that meet the needs of AP customers and audiences, supporting the organization’s digital‑first strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Edit breaking‑news video from live feeds on tight deadlines, producing strong visual narratives for newsrooms, online and social media.
• Write shot‑lists and scripts quickly and accurately.
• Produce video edits in a variety of styles, including vertical formats for social platforms.
• Source, verify and obtain permission for user‑generated content, using tools such as reverse image search and geolocation.
• Exercise sound news judgment and uphold AP standards for integrity and objectivity.

Required profile

• Advanced competency in non‑linear video editing, including vertical video for social media.
• Proven track record of innovative storytelling that resonates with digital audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a breaking‑news environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong English writing skills and deep understanding of international and U.S. news agendas.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum three years in a daily newspaper, broadcast, online or digital news outlet, or AP bureau).
• Authorization to work in India.
