About the role

Sunburn Studios is seeking an experienced Lead News Anchor to front its political news segment. The role involves presenting breaking political developments, debates, and current‑affairs stories to a digital‑first audience, primarily in Telugu.

Key responsibilities

• Anchor daily political news and current‑affairs programs.
• Present breaking news and evolving stories with clarity and confidence.
• Research and understand political developments before going on air.
• Conduct interviews with politicians, experts, and public figures.
• Handle live discussions, debates, and panel conversations.
• Deliver news in a professional, engaging, and audience‑friendly manner.
• Coordinate with editorial and production teams for daily programming.
• Maintain accuracy, neutrality, and professional standards while presenting.
• Contribute ideas for new shows, formats, and digital news content.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a news anchor, preferably in political news.
• Strong knowledge of Indian politics and current affairs.
• Excellent Telugu communication and presentation abilities.
• Confident on‑camera presence with strong voice modulation and diction.
• Ability to manage live broadcasts and breaking‑news situations.
• Good interview and debate‑handling skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced newsroom environment.
• Experience with YouTube or digital news media is a plus.
