Mobile Developer – React Native Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced mobile technical leader to architect and drive SPAN’s mobile solutions. Our React Native apps unlock the SPAN panel’s potential, giving users unprecedented insight and control.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and drive technical direction for SPAN’s mobile architecture.
• Champion code craftsmanship, cutting‑edge tooling, monitoring, and test‑driven development.
• Design, implement, and test features in our React Native applications.
• Collaborate closely with product and design on mobile product strategy and execution.
• Grow team knowledge through pair programming, code reviews, presentations, example code, and documentation.
• Partner with firmware and backend engineers to ensure seamless hardware integration.
• Work with QA and Platform Infrastructure to build a robust quality system and fast, reliable deployments.
• Lead the definition and socialisation of architectural best practices ahead of major migrations.
• Collaborate with other tech leads on scalability efforts to support millions of homes.
• Iteratively deliver value with the product and mobile teams against multi‑year projects.

Required profile

• 4+ years building and shipping user‑facing applications for large audiences.
• 3+ years of mobile app or React web development, preferably with React Native.
• Strong TypeScript experience.
• Unshakable practices around Test‑Driven Development.
• Experience working closely with design on shared components and design ecosystems.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployments.
• Proficiency with feature‑flagging strategies for iterative development.
• Outcomes‑oriented communication and collaboration skills.
