Mobile App Developer - Android

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to join Metyis’ Software & Technology team. You will build native Android applications that integrate with enterprise back‑ends and deliver high‑quality user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable native Android apps using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Collaborate with React Native developers to implement platform‑specific Android functionality.
• Create native modules and integrations for enterprise mobile solutions.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to turn wireframes into polished Android interfaces.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs while optimizing performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Integrate Android apps with Shopify Headless APIs, Azure Middleware, ASPOS and other backend services.
• Implement native capabilities such as barcode scanning, biometric authentication, push notifications, deep linking and offline functionality.
• Participate in effort estimation, provide technical input for new features, and support debugging, unit testing and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing Android applications with Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK and native Android architecture.
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams with designers, backend engineers and QA.
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
