Medical Transcriptionist – Fetal Medicine

About the role

The Medical Transcriptionist will support the Fetal Medicine department at Aster CMI Hospital by accurately transcribing clinical dictations and handling related administrative tasks. This position works on a fixed shift from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, ensuring timely documentation and patient communication.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to and type dictations from healthcare professionals.
• Manage appointment scheduling, documentation, and related enquiries.
• Handle phone inquiries about appointments, scans, and blood reports.
• Process and document F Forms and maintain scan statistics.
• Dispatch daily and monthly scan statistics to the department.
• Follow up with providers to verify report accuracy.
• Adhere to patient confidentiality and legal documentation standards.
• Conduct quality improvement audits.
• Assist patients with documentation, billing, and greeting duties as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a fetal care or advanced centre environment.
• Ability to work the fixed shift of 9 am‑5:30 pm.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems.

Required skills

• BALIKA software proficiency (PCPNDT mandatory).
• Knowledge of hospital information systems.
