Medical Officer – Occupational Health

About the role

The Medical Officer will be based on‑site in Ahmedabad, working full‑time to lead the clinical component of our occupational health programmes. You will assess employees, manage health records and provide direct care for work‑related and general health issues while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical assessments, fitness‑for‑duty evaluations and return‑to‑work examinations.
• Maintain and update employee health records and occupational health documentation.
• Provide direct patient care for workplace injuries and common health conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to support health surveillance and clinical protocols.
• Train staff on health, safety and wellness procedures.
• Contribute medical expertise to compliance reporting and integration of clinical workflows with Hasanui HealthTech’s software solutions.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, CIH or equivalent) with valid registration.
• Clinical experience in occupational health, primary care or related fields.
• Experience performing minor surgical procedures where required.
• Knowledge of occupational health standards, workplace safety regulations and medical documentation.
• Strong communication, clinical decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Ahmedabad in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Comfort using digital health platforms and health‑technology tools.
