Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment within the plant. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising predictive and preventive maintenance activities while adhering to safety policies, company guidelines, and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Support creation of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with production, technology and CES teams.
• Develop resourcing plans for routine maintenance and shutdown jobs.
• Collect and analyse mechanical performance data, report against KPIs and take corrective actions.
• Plan and control inventory of mechanical spares, issue parts for jobs and support procurement.
• Assist in preparing maintenance cost budgets and analyse utilisation.
• Execute and supervise mechanical maintenance tasks ensuring quality, safety and timely completion.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise production and quality losses.
• Monitor equipment condition and performance trends to identify and rectify irregularities.
• Perform preservation activities as scheduled to maintain equipment functionality.
• Oversee execution of shutdown jobs according to schedule.
