Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment within the plant. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising predictive and preventive maintenance activities while adhering to safety policies and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following all relevant policies, processes, SOPs, and instructions.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with Production, Technology, and CES teams.
• Create resourcing plans for routine maintenance and shutdown jobs.
• Collect mechanical discipline data, monitor KPI performance, and report deviations to lead maintenance.
• Plan and control inventory of mechanical spares, issue parts for job execution, and support procurement activities.
• Assist in preparing maintenance cost budgets and analyze utilization.
• Execute and supervise mechanical maintenance tasks with a focus on quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise production and quality losses.
• Analyse equipment condition, monitor performance trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out preservation activities and manage shutdown job execution according to schedule.
