Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings, 3D models and assemblies using CAD tools. You will support product‑line manufacturing and packaging operations across pharma, FMCG and agro sectors, ensuring designs meet client requirements and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Develop product‑line GA drawings and conduct line studies to match customer specifications.
• Act as SME to validate hardware requirements, analyse risks and ensure system stability.
• Design mechanical components and customised solutions for vision inspection systems.
• Supervise construction, testing of prototypes and packaging line assemblies.
• Oversee the full machine design lifecycle from concept through production and installation.
• Analyse suppliers and methods for cost reductions and estimate product costs.
• Document designs for manufacturing within time and budget targets.
• Maintain compliance with national, local and CE safety regulations.

Required profile

• B.E. degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar mechanical design role.
• Working knowledge of primary and secondary product‑line manufacturing and packing operations.
• Experience with automation systems design is a plus.
