Mechanical Design Engineer – Industrial Welding Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (Specialist) to develop and enhance plastic and aluminium die‑cast components and sub‑assemblies for an industrial welding controller. The role involves translating system requirements into robust mechanical solutions while collaborating closely with electronics and software teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and modify plastic and aluminium die‑cast components and assemblies for welding controllers.
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings in line with design standards.
• Perform thermal simulations and heat‑sink calculations to ensure product reliability.
• Manage BOM creation and database updates in SAP.
• Select standard mechanical elements and ensure proper interfacing with electronics and software.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–14 years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools: Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and PDM.
• Experience with SAP for BOM and database management.
• Ability to conduct thermal simulations and heat‑sink calculations.
