Mechanical Design Engineer (Creo)

About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will create robust 3‑D models and 2‑D drawings for automotive projects using Creo. Working on‑site at the customer’s facility in Coimbatore, you will translate engineering requirements into manufacturable designs that meet functional, quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3‑D models and detailed 2‑D drawings in Creo.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate them into design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with GD&T, mechanical standards and manufacturability criteria.
• Apply knowledge of casting, plastic and sheet‑metal design to optimise parts.
• Review and validate design feasibility and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and delivery teams, and support engineering change requests.
• Provide timely, high‑quality design deliverables while working directly with the customer team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Creo (mandatory).
• Experience using PDM tools.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and mechanical standards.
• Knowledge of casting, plastic and sheet‑metal design (advantage).
• Ability to work with configuration files and templates.
