Head – Production / Programmer

About the role

ASHWABHA ENGINEERING WORKS is seeking a senior leader to head production and CNC programming at its Coimbatore facility. The role is full‑time, on‑site and responsible for driving end‑to‑end manufacturing performance while ensuring tight quality and delivery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and allocate resources to maximise utilisation of 5‑axis CNC machines.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality and supply‑chain teams to meet customer specifications and delivery timelines.
• Plan, monitor and continuously improve workflow, safety practices, efficiency and cost control.
• Supervise, mentor and develop production staff, resolve shop‑floor issues and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Review technical drawings, develop CNC programs, validate machining strategies and ensure alignment with production targets.

Required profile

• Strong production planning and management expertise to develop schedules and ensure timely delivery.
• Proven operations and team‑management experience in a precision‑machining environment.
• Solid budgeting capability to control production costs and optimise resource utilisation.
• Hands‑on experience with 5‑axis CNC machining, CAM programming and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Relevant technical qualification (diploma or degree) in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality and supply‑chain functions and communicate across organisational levels.
