Materials Support Specialist

About the role

The Materials Support Specialist ensures that all inventory requirements are identified, targets are set, and replenishment processes run smoothly. This role supports the plant by monitoring material usage, reconciling balances, and coordinating local transportation for incoming supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify inventory needs and establish replenishment targets.
• Prepare material GRIN entries promptly for consumption.
• Monitor item usage, reconcile inventory balances, and report status.
• Support timely material issue activities for purchase, production, and engineering departments.
• Conduct physical verification of store items and resolve discrepancies.
• Close monthly store activities to maintain accounting controls.
• Provide daily MIS reports on raw material availability for planning.
• Track returnable material status and ensure accurate records.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet reporting timelines.
• Good interpersonal skills to collaborate across plant functions.
• Organizational capability to plan and execute local transportation.
