About the role

Marriott International is looking for a reliable Marble Polisher to keep marble surfaces and public areas of our hotel clean, safe, and presentable. This full‑time position involves routine cleaning, maintenance reporting, and guest service support in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean public and employee restrooms, showers, and glass surfaces using designated chemicals and equipment.
• Polish marble and other floor surfaces in public and employee areas, ensuring a spotless finish.
• Dust surfaces, empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns, and dispose of waste properly.
• Inspect furniture for damage, report any issues, and maintain lighting fixtures.
• Post caution signs when necessary and coordinate urgent repairs with other departments.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests, reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety, security, and confidentiality policies, including proper storage of flammable materials.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, twist, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Full‑time availability and willingness to work onsite at the Kolkata location.
• No specific educational credential required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.

Required skills

• Operation of floor polishing and related housekeeping equipment.
