Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join Kennametal’s 3rd‑shift team. The role involves maintaining a wide range of high‑precision equipment, including CNC grinders, presses, sintering furnaces, media blasters, and CVD/PVD furnaces, ensuring reliable operation during the 11 pm‑7 am shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC‑driven systems, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Install, wire, and upgrade conduit, panels, and control systems following NEC and NFPA 70 standards.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, and PLC ladder logic.
• Conduct daily PMs, pipe‑fitting, welding, soldering, threading, plasma cutting, and metal shaping tasks.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and support the Kennametal Spill Response and SCBA Emergency teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience with relevant vocational or technical training.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and lift up to 33 lb for 8‑12 hour shifts.
• Safety‑mindset; must pass a respirator medical evaluation and participate in emergency response programs.
