Manual QA Intern

About the role

Join ShareChat’s fast‑growing product team as a Manual QA Intern. You will work on both web and mobile applications, helping ensure high‑quality releases while gaining hands‑on experience with AI‑generated code validation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Validate AI‑generated code outputs, checking for correctness, edge cases, security issues, and product alignment.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Linear, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
• Review AI‑generated code against acceptance criteria and flag ambiguous or unsafe behavior.
• Collaborate with developers to translate feature specs into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Perform smoke, sanity, and UAT testing on new releases before deployment.
• Maintain test documentation, test plans, and QA checklists.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives) and provide clear, reproducible bug reports.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle and QA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with bug‑tracking/project‑management tools (e.g., Jira, Linear, Trello).
• Ability to read code in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Client.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Exposure to AI/LLM tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) is a plus.
