Manager, Tax – Global Compliance & Reporting (TMT)

About the role

EY is seeking a Manager to lead Tax services for Technology, Media & Entertainment (TMT) clients within its Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) practice in New Delhi. The role combines deep tax expertise with industry knowledge to help clients navigate complex regulatory environments, manage tax risks and drive value‑creating strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Direct Tax (DT) strategies for clients across identified industry and market segments.
• Design and sell new DT solutions, including managed services and technology‑enabled offerings.
• Build and maintain relationships with service lines, business development teams and senior client executives to generate pipeline and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Lead planning, pricing, billing and delivery of tax engagements, ensuring high‑quality, value‑based outcomes.
• Mentor and coach a team of 5‑8 professionals, driving knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• 5‑6 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate, personal or international tax.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives.
• Demonstrated business development and marketing capabilities.
• Flexibility, adaptability and a creative approach to problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Direct Tax law and compliance.
• Corporate tax restructuring and tax advisory.
• International tax, treaty analysis and FEMA/RBI compliance.
• Experience with tax technology platforms and managed service models.
