Manager Public Relations

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Manager Public Relations to lead our corporate communications and media relations efforts for UPES in Dehradun. You will be responsible for shaping the university’s external image and ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communications strategies for internal and external audiences.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers; act as primary media contact.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
• Design and implement crisis communication plans, providing timely responses to reputational risks.
• Lead internal communication initiatives, including newsletters and memos, to keep employees informed and engaged.
• Create high‑quality written content such as blog posts, articles, and presentations aligned with the brand voice.
• Engage with key stakeholders including investors, community organisations, and government agencies.
• Monitor media and industry trends, conduct analysis, and report on PR performance using KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field.
• Proven experience in corporate communications or public relations.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent media relations skills with an existing network of contacts.
• Experience handling crisis situations with professionalism.
