Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of plant equipment through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and rapid fault diagnosis. Working on machinery, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing and structural elements, the role supports uninterrupted production and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of plant and equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job reports.
• Assist with plant installation, commissioning and minor project works.
• Test and calibrate instruments and control systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including LOLER and PAT regimes.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimise disruption.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and raise purchase requests.
• Supervise external contractors to meet company standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb.
• EPA technician certification.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem‑solving approach.
• Willingness to work shift patterns, flexible hours and on‑call duties.
