Machine Design Engineer – Conveyor Systems

About the role

The Machine Design Engineer will create and develop conveyor systems and related machinery for Convello, a leading manufacturer of material‑handling equipment. Based in Vapi, the role combines on‑site work with remote flexibility, supporting product development, customization, and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for conveyor systems and components.
• Perform mechanical calculations, stress analysis, and component selection to meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (production, sales, service) to customize designs and integrate automation and control elements.
• Optimize existing designs for cost reduction, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Document design processes and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and industrial machinery.
• Experience with machine design, component selection, and design for manufacturability.
• Hands‑on proficiency with CAD tools for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
• Knowledge of automation in material‑handling systems and integration of mechanical and control elements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
