Local Business Line Controller - Sales & Solutions

About the role

ABB is seeking a Local Business Line Controller to support the Electrification business in the Distribution Solutions division. The role partners with sales and solutions teams, providing financial insight and driving performance improvements for the assigned business area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, monthly and rolling forecasts, management reporting and strategic business planning.
• Partner with Sales and Solutions teams on commercial decisions, pricing reviews, profitability initiatives and risk management.
• Oversee controlling functions such as costing, margin analysis, working capital management, financial reporting and compliance.
• Drive digitalisation and continuous‑improvement projects using Power BI, AI‑enabled tools, SAP analytics and process automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and professional qualification (CA, CMA or CPA).
• 10‑15 years of experience in controlling, FP&A or finance business partnering, preferably in a multinational industrial environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence across sales, operations and senior management.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP, especially FI, CO, SD, MM and PS modules.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, data analytics, dashboard development and other digital finance tools.
• Experience with AI‑enabled business applications and SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
