Linux Administrator (Consultant)

About the role

We are seeking a Linux Administrator consultant to join our team in Hyderabad. The role involves monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and resolving Linux server issues while supporting DHCP services across multiple Linux distributions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server queries and incidents.
• Provide DHCP and DNS support and manage IP address tools.
• Perform installation, maintenance, tuning, and capacity planning for Linux/UNIX systems in virtualized environments.
• Administer user accounts via LDAP, apply security patches, and manage system upgrades.
• Configure LVM, file systems, kernel parameters, and network services (TCP/IP, routing, NFS).
• Maintain Pacemaker clusters, firmware upgrades, and hardware/software inventory.
• Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.
• Automate configuration and deployments using Ansible, Puppet, Python scripts, and PowerShell.
• Support VMware virtualization and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on Linux administration experience.
• Strong communication, documentation, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across technical teams.
