Solution Architect – DataLake & Analytics

About the role

Enable customers to adopt DataPelago's analytic engine for their business use‑cases in both pre‑sales and post‑sales scenarios. Maintain deep knowledge of the engine, competing alternatives, and customer requirements while collaborating with engineering and customers to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Guide technical evaluation activities throughout the sales process and act as the lead technical advisor.
• Help prospects move through the sales pipeline, converting them into customers.
• Design and implement data‑driven business outcomes using DataPelago’s analytic engine on Lakehouse platforms.
• Apply data‑management lifecycle principles, including data modeling, ingestion, integration, and transformation.
• Deliver presentations, demos, benchmarks, and proof‑of‑concepts that showcase superior performance and total‑cost‑of‑ownership.

Required profile

• Become a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert for analytics and data engineering on Lakehouse platforms.
• Guide customers on effective data‑management and data‑governance best practices.
• Lead clients through evaluating and adopting DataPelago products.
• Mentor junior Solution Architects to develop their skills.

Required skills

• Lakehouse platforms (Delta Lake, Iceberg).
• Data‑governance tools (Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Delta Merge, Hive Metastore).
• Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• SQL, Spark, Python, Scala, Java.
• AI/ML and analytics expertise.
