Lenders Associate – Private Equity Intelligence

About the role

Gain is building the definitive source of truth for private credit and fixed‑income markets. As a Lenders Associate you will own the end‑to‑end data domain that powers this vision, shaping how lenders, credit instruments and borrowers are represented across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Lenders data domain (BDC, BSL, corporate bonds, CLO, MML) from ingestion to integration.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on credit and fixed‑income data, guiding internal teams on capital structure, pricing mechanics and taxonomy.
• Define and prioritize the Lenders product roadmap, balancing new coverage with data quality.
• Collaborate with external vendors to translate their data into Gain’s model and link it to companies, deals and investors.
• Resolve data‑modeling issues end‑to‑end, not merely flagging them.
• Lead process optimisation using AI and automation to keep data workflows clean as volume scales.
• Hire, coach and manage Analysts and Senior Analysts, setting quality standards.
• Partner with Product and Engineering, representing the Lenders vertical in leadership discussions.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in private credit, fixed‑income data, or related financial data domains.
• Strong understanding of capital structures, pricing mechanics and credit instrument taxonomy.
• Proven ability to shape product roadmaps and work cross‑functionally with engineering and product teams.
• Leadership experience managing analysts and driving data‑quality initiatives.
