Legal Team Manager – Real Estate Projects

About the role

The Legal Team Manager will lead the legal function for real‑estate development projects across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. You will be responsible for overseeing transaction documentation, title due diligence, RERA compliance, and litigation management, ensuring all legal aspects of projects are handled efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, vet, review and negotiate transaction documents and manage end‑to‑end execution.
• Conduct title due diligence for land acquisition, development, redevelopment and joint‑development opportunities, identifying risks and encumbrances.
• Handle RERA registrations, maintain periodic compliance and prepare statutory disclosures.
• Prepare and review customer‑facing legal documents such as Agreements for Sale, allotment letters and declarations.
• Manage society formation, conveyance documentation and related legal processes.
• Lead litigation matters, draft notices, pleadings and coordinate with external counsel for strategy and hearings.
• Provide legal support to CRM, sales, finance, design, operations and marketing teams, reviewing commercial agreements and marketing collateral.
• Support internal audits, compliance reviews and address customer legal queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in a reputed law firm or real‑estate organization.
• Strong background in real‑estate transactions, title due diligence and RERA compliance.
• Proven experience in litigation management and contract negotiation.
• Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
