Legal Manager – Corporate & Compliance

About the role

CACTUS is a remote‑first organization seeking a seasoned Legal Manager to lead legal operations for the company and its overseas entities. This role offers exposure to a wide range of corporate, contractual and compliance matters on a global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize business contracts such as MSAs, vendor agreements, NDAs and lease deeds.
• Provide actionable legal advice, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for business initiatives.
• Independently manage legal workstreams and projects, coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure timely closure.
• Develop, monitor and update corporate policies to ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Advise on global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, DPDPA) and standardize data handling practices.
• Manage intellectual property protection, enforcement and filings, including drafting IP clauses.
• Handle legal notices, pre‑litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel for litigation.
• Support HR and business teams on employment and labour law matters.
• Drive process improvement, standardization and automation across legal operations.

Required profile

• LLB degree with 8‑10 years of relevant legal experience.
• Proven ability to partner with internal teams and provide practical legal solutions.
• Strong communication skills to translate legal concepts for non‑legal audiences.
• Excellent organizational, multi‑tasking and detail‑oriented capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented mindset with a focus on fast, efficient closures.
