Legal Counsel

About the role

Pramac, a Generac Company, is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide practical, business‑oriented legal support across its Indian operations. The role will ensure compliance with local laws and align with the global group’s policies and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, corporate, employment, regulatory and compliance matters under Indian law.
• Support corporate governance, statutory compliance and company secretarial matters in coordination with external advisers.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business and help implement global policies.
• Manage disputes and coordinate with external counsel as required.
• Assist business projects, transactions and cross‑border initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while delivering commercially practical solutions.
• Deliver legal training and promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• LL.B. and qualified to practice law in India.
• Approximately 5–8 years post‑qualification experience in a law firm and/or in‑house legal department.
• Strong knowledge of Indian commercial and corporate law.
• Experience supporting multinational businesses is preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
