Legal Counsel

About the role

Armakuni, an AWS Premier Partner, is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to support its fast‑growing technology business. The role involves managing commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with Indian and international regulations, and providing strategic legal advice to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor & procurement contracts, employment and consultant agreements, and partnership/technology agreements.
• Provide legal support for domestic and international transactions and ensure compliance with corporate, labor, data‑privacy and IT laws.
• Advise business teams on legal risks, coordinate with external counsel on litigation and notices, and manage intellectual‑property matters.
• Develop and maintain standard legal templates, policies, and contract repositories.
• Support HR on employment‑law issues, disciplinary actions and employee documentation.
• Assist with corporate governance, board resolutions, statutory filings and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognized university.
• 4–7 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in IT services, technology, SaaS or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Indian corporate, contract and labor laws; experience with international agreements is a plus.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud, SaaS and AI/ML technology contracts.
• Knowledge of data‑privacy regulations such as GDPR and the DPDP Act.
• Exposure to IP protection and licensing agreements.
