Legal Counsel – Data Privacy & Cybersecurity

About the role

Infosys Limited is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide regulatory and compliance guidance across its global operations. The role focuses on data privacy, cybersecurity, and other technology‑related legal matters, supporting internal teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the Data Privacy Office on global data privacy legal regimes and related queries.
• Advise the Security group on global cyber security legal regimes and related queries.
• Manage global regulatory queries, especially for major markets such as the EU, US, and APAC, and provide guidance to internal clients.
• Handle data privacy or cyber security incidents, following established SOPs to contain, remediate, and achieve steady state.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to drive cross‑functional programs from a legal perspective.
• Design, implement, and operationalize global compliance programs to address legal gaps and risk areas.

Required profile

• 4 to 8 years of post‑qualification experience.
• BA LLB or equivalent law degree and registration to practice in India.
• Experience advising on regulations such as data privacy, cyber security, labour and employment, intellectual property, telecom, and technology.
• Prior experience in technology companies of similar size and scale to Infosys is a plus.
