Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to our unit. The role involves ensuring compliance with Indian corporate, commercial, environmental, labor, and industrial laws while safeguarding the organization’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, vet, and maintain contracts, agreements, MoUs, NDAs, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, environmental, labor, and industrial regulations.
• Coordinate with external counsel on litigation, arbitration, and legal proceedings.
• Monitor ongoing court cases, maintain records of legal notices, claims, and disputes.
• Provide legal advice to various departments on business and operational matters.
• Support land, property, licensing, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for contracts, projects, and transactions.
• Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and legal agencies as required.
• Track changes in laws and advise management on implications.
• Maintain legal databases, case trackers, and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Indian corporate, contract, labor, and industrial laws.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal research.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
