Legal Associate – M&A & Investment Banking

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Associate with strong expertise in mergers and acquisitions and investment banking to join our Bangalore office. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to work closely with senior management, bankers, and external counsel on high‑impact transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents such as Share Purchase Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, Term Sheets and NDAs.
• Conduct legal due diligence for M&A and investment transactions.
• Liaise with internal teams, financial advisors and external legal counsels to ensure smooth execution.
• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI and related corporate laws.
• Support investment banking mandates with structuring and documentation.
• Maintain accurate legal records, adhere to timelines and mitigate transaction risks.

Required profile

• LLB from a reputed law school (LLM preferred but not mandatory).
• 2–4 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate law, M&A or investment banking transactions.
• Prior experience with law firms or investment banking firms is an advantage.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
