Learning Design Manager – Retail

About the role

The Learning Design Manager – Retail will create and deliver high‑impact learning solutions that boost store leadership capability, frontline effectiveness, and behavioral excellence. You will design practical, scalable journeys that improve customer experience, people leadership and store business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end retail capability programs using Instructional Design models such as ADDIE, SAM and Design Thinking.
• Apply adult learning principles and behavior‑change models to ensure on‑the‑job impact for store staff, managers and support teams.
• Develop practical learning assets – facilitator guides, toolkits, checklists, job aids, scenarios, role‑plays and assessments rooted in store realities.
• Create blended solutions (ILT, VILT, micro‑learning, e‑learning, on‑the‑job application) that are time‑efficient, easy to deploy and scalable across the store network.
• Partner with Retail Operations, HR Business Partners and Subject Matter Experts to conduct needs analysis and act as a learning advisor.
• Define success metrics linked to store KPIs, review program effectiveness and continuously improve learning quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering learning solutions for retail or similar fast‑paced environments.
• Strong instructional design expertise with a focus on behavior change and performance impact.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and translate business needs into learning journeys.
• Analytical mindset to link learning outcomes with store performance metrics.
