Lead/Staff Machine Learning Scientist – Speech

About the role

Agara is seeking a senior ML scientist to lead the development of speech‑driven conversational AI. You will create robust, real‑time speech models that work across languages, accents, and noisy environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and train deep learning speech systems for real‑time, multilingual conversations.
• Collaborate with ML scientists and engineers to develop and productionize speech models.
• Conduct applied research and experimentation to advance speech recognition, text‑to‑speech, and speaker diarisation technologies.
• Evaluate model performance across diverse accents, noise conditions and voice interfaces.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in speech or conversational AI.
• B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven track record of building real‑world speech systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
