Lead VibroAcoustics Simulation Engineer

About the role

Join Airbus India’s Advanced Numerical Simulation team as a Lead VibroAcoustics Simulation Engineer. You will drive the development and execution of high‑fidelity acoustic and vibro‑acoustic simulations that support the design, certification, and in‑service phases of aircraft programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vibro‑acoustic simulations to assess dynamic responses of structures to airborne engine noise and structure‑borne vibration.
• Develop and maintain acoustic simulation workflows using state‑of‑the‑art tools to evaluate sound transmission and pressure fields.
• Validate simulation methods by correlating results with measurements and calibrating models.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of in‑service issues and propose corrective actions.
• Innovate new simulation techniques to improve credibility and reduce turnaround time.
• Automate simulation lifecycle processes and explore AI/ML approaches to augment analyses.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of computational structural mechanics, dynamics, wave propagation, and aircraft engine noise effects.
• Experience with acoustic simulation tools and finite element analysis.
• Hands‑on knowledge of vibro‑acoustic measurement techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation.
• Awareness of AI and machine‑learning applications in simulation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reasoning abilities.
