Lead Technology Specialist

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a proactive Lead Technology Specialist to operate, maintain and enhance scientific computing environments that support its digital transformation. The role is centred on Linux/RedHat platforms, HPC scheduling and enterprise‑grade automation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Linux/RedHat systems for scientific computing workloads.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot parallel file systems such as Lustre, IBM Spectrum Scale and BeeGFS.
• Monitor storage I/O performance, identify bottlenecks and implement tiered storage strategies (HSM/ILM).
• Perform network diagnostics using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark and tune low‑latency interconnects (InfiniBand, RDMA, RoCE, iWARP).
• Implement access control, security hardening and compliance for NFS/SMB exports, LDAP/NIS mappings and data encryption.
• Drive automation using Git, Ansible and AI‑based quality improvement tools.
• Collaborate with global Airbus engineering and IT teams on HPC cluster services.

Required profile

• 8+ years of IT experience with a focus on Linux/RedHat system administration.
• Hands‑on experience in scientific computing, HPC scheduling and automation frameworks.
• Strong background in storage infrastructure, network architecture and security compliance.
