Lead Software Engineer – Cyber Security & Resilience

About the role

Airbus is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join its Resilience & R2P Services & Cyber Security team in Bangalore. The role focuses on hosting cyber‑security products worldwide, ensuring compliance, and driving digital transformation that adds business value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, report, and remediate non‑compliance issues on servers supporting global Hosting CyberSec products.
• Design, install, configure, and harden mid‑to‑large‑tier Windows servers and related infrastructure.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, storage environments, and file‑system security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve resilience, R2P, and cyber‑security services.
• Develop automation scripts and playbooks using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in Windows system administration and infrastructure management.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on security compliance and integrity.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting.
• Windows Server, Linux/UNIX, ESX virtualization.
• Vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Tenable) and Qlik.
• Networking fundamentals – routing, subnets, TCP/IP, VLANs, UDP.
• Ansible Automation Platform (desired).
• Advanced security knowledge and familiarity with security frameworks.
