Lead Demo Engineer – Presales Solutions Consulting

About the role

Appian is looking for a senior Appian developer to lead the Chennai Demo Engineers team while continuing to deliver high‑quality demo assets. The Lead Demo Engineer will manage day‑to‑day operations, provide technical guidance, and act as the primary liaison between the local team and global presales leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Demo Engineers, ensuring alignment with global presales strategy.
• Provide senior technical oversight on demo capture, refinement, and expansion.
• Own cataloging and ingestion of demos into DemoHub, maintaining quality and discoverability.
• Personally de‑brand and modernize prospect demos using the latest Appian capabilities.
• Lead development and maintenance of the DemoHub application itself.
• Oversee production of interactive clickable demos in third‑party platforms.
• Create supporting artifacts such as walkthrough videos, scripts, and quick‑reference guides.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure seamless communication across time zones.
• Implement process improvements to increase demo workflow efficiency.
• Provide technical mentorship and foster a strong engineering culture.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience with Appian or a comparable low‑code platform.
• Proven people‑management and mentorship abilities.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering polished, reusable demo assets.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple high‑volume projects.
• Strong cross‑functional communication skills across global teams.
• Familiarity with interactive demo platforms (Storylane, Reprise, Navattic, Walnut) is a plus.
• Experience with video recording and editing tools is a plus.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
