Lead Associate - Category Management

About the role
The Lead Associate – Category Management will act as the primary liaison between fashion brands and Myntra, driving growth through strategic partnership, assortment planning and performance optimisation.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international fashion brands to ensure mutual growth.
- Identify assortment gaps, seasonal opportunities and consumer trends to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and execute joint business plans (JBP) with key brands each season.
- Curate relevant assortments by category, price point and style, ensuring timely onboarding of collections.
- Monitor stock availability, coordinate with supply‑chain teams and prevent stock‑outs or overstocking.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive visibility through campaigns, banners, influencer collaborations and exclusive launches.
- Track metrics such as GMV, sell‑through, ASP and returns, providing actionable insights.
- Stay updated on fashion trends and competitor launches, advising brands on styles, colours and pricing.
- Lead negotiations on margins, commissions, return policies and promotional support.
- Resolve operational, cataloguing or payment issues and act as the escalation point.
Required profile
- Proven experience in brand relationship management and category or assortment planning.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial alignment skills.
- Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams including supply‑chain, marketing and merchandising.
- Problem‑solving orientation with a focus on timely issue resolution.
