Lead Arborist

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Arborist to oversee high‑level tree care operations, ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction across a variety of tree environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced arboricultural tasks, including climbing, pruning and hazard tree removal.
• Ascend and work safely in tree canopies of any size using SRS, MRS and traditional climbing methods.
• Operate aerial lifts, brush chippers, stumpers and chainsaws with precision.
• Execute technical rigging for large limb and tree removal and conduct aerial rescues when needed.
• Install static and dynamic cabling and bracing systems.
• Model safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of industry experience.
• Post‑secondary education related to arboriculture.
• Strong client communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Working at Heights, WHMIS and First Aid certifications.
• ISA Certified Arborist or Ontario Certified Arborist (asset).
• 0‑8 tonne crane competency (asset).
