Labour Law & Statutory Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will lead the organisation’s efforts to meet all labour‑law and statutory obligations across India. You will monitor legislative changes, assess business impact, and implement robust compliance frameworks to ensure timely filings and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with national and state labour laws, including the new Labour Codes (Wages, Industrial Relations, OSHWC, Social Security).
• Manage statutory compliance for EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, Maternity Benefit, Equal Remuneration, Shops & Establishments, and Contract Labour.
• Maintain statutory registers, records, notices and documentation as required by law.
• Coordinate inspections and inquiries from labour authorities and other regulatory agencies.
• Oversee regulatory filings and act as liaison with Central and State government bodies.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programmes for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related field; MBA or Master’s in HR, Labour Laws, Industrial Relations or Compliance preferred.
• 5‑8 years of experience in labour‑law compliance, statutory compliance and regulatory affairs, preferably in services, staffing or large‑workforce environments.
• Hands‑on experience with government portals, statutory filings, inspections and audits.
