Kitchen Staff – School Cafeteria

About the role

Join Opaa! Food Management as a Kitchen Staff member supporting breakfast and lunch service in a school cafeteria. You will prepare meals, assist with serving lines, and help with occasional catering events while ensuring food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Prepare menu items according to Opaa! recipes and plan ahead for next‑day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other kitchen equipment with required certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, including kitchen, cafeteria, and dishwashing stations.
• Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and keep cooler/storage racks tidy.
• Record production data, temperature logs, and comply with HACCP and CACFP regulations.
• Serve food portions with appropriate utensils and ensure appealing presentation.
• Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training.

Required profile

• Commitment to strict food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menu plans.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Reliability in maintaining accurate production and temperature records.

Required skills

• Operation of kitchen equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders) with certification.
• Food preparation and batch cooking.
• HACCP compliance and temperature monitoring.
• FIFO inventory management.
